Brownsville and Haywood County

Brownsville is the county seat and only incorporated town in Haywood county with a population of 10,748.  Farming is the largest industry and Haywood County grows more cotton than any county in Tennessee.  The media income for a household in Brownsville is $27,276.  Tina Turner and Tony Delk were both born in Haywood County.  A new Regional industrial mega site of 3840 acres is being developed in Haywood County.  It's central location to Memphis, Nashville, Jackson and I-40 place it in a transportation hub of many auto manufacturers already located in the south. Haywood has a  variety of residential housing and farms with a large commuter population.
